How email tracking works, and how Bloop.email blocks it
Invisible images tell senders when you open their mail. Here's how that's stopped.
Many marketing emails, and some personal ones, include a tiny invisible image. When your mail app loads it, the sender's server learns that you opened the message, when you did, and often roughly where you are from your IP address.
What Bloop.email does
Remote images are hidden by default, so tracking images never load and the sender learns nothing. The rest of the message reads normally.
When you trust a sender and want to see their pictures, choose to load images for that message. It's your call, one message at a time.
